Painted by the Renaissance artist, Leonardo Da Vinci, the portrait of Ginevra de Benci print was painted in Florence between 1474 and 1478. This early work of Da Vinci’s, completed when he was 21, shows the emerging genius. The Ginevra de Benci print was painted with such perfection that many felt it was not a portrait but Ginevra herself being such a lifelike and forthright portrayal. The original Ginevra de Benci print is currently displayed in America at the National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C.
