The Story Behind The Last Judgment Print by Michelangelo
The Last Judgement art print by Michelangelo is a sample of the fresco in the Sistine Chapel in Vatican City where it covers the whole altar wall. The painting is a depiction of the Second Coming of Christ and God’s judgement over humanity. Michelangelo began The Last Judgement in 1536, 25 years after he completed the Sistine Chapel ceiling (which includes the famous Creation of Adam). The work took over 4 years to complete and Michelangelo was almost 67 by the time the work was completed.
