The Story Behind the Three Graces Print by Raphael

Painted by the Renaissance artist Raphael, the date of this oil painting of the Three Graces art print is not known. It is generally accepted to have been created between the years 1503 and 1505 when Raphael was an older teenager. Raphael painted the Greek mythology figures of the Three Graces signifying beauty, creativity, and fertility, with both front and back views and each nude woman holding a round object. The Three Graces art print by Raphael is currently housed in France at the Musée Condé in Chantilly and is a defining piece of Raphael’s early work.
