The Great Wave of Kanagawa Print

The Great Wave off Kanagawa is a woodblock print by the Japanese ukiyo-e artist Hokusai created around 1831. It is an imposing picture, and the best-known work by Japanese artist Hokusai. Created during the Edo period of Japanese history, The Great Wave of Kanagawa art print depicts three boats in huge waves, assumed to be a tsunami, with Mount Fuji in the background.
